Connect with the brightest minds in automotive R&D

The automotive industry has long been important to the Heart of England. And while global players like Tata continue to operate in the region, these days there’s an increasing emphasis on research and development rather than mass-market production. The strength of the knowledge base and the technical expertise here means that companies like Modec and Pro Drive are at the forefront of creating the low-carbon and hydrogen cell vehicles of tomorrow. And that know-how is backed up by specialised R&D centres at local academic institutions like Warwick University nurturing the automotive technicians of the future.

As you’d expect, local and national government bodies are keen to encourage new automotive investment into the region and various grants and incentive schemes are available.
